On a warm Saturday afternoon we hosted Addlestone (Lyne) FC which resulted in a 5-1 win for Spelly.
Myles Hook commented
"Saturday was a good run out and test for both sides. We had a number of players in need of game time and it was particulary pleasing for 16 year old Bob Honey to have gained further senior experience and complete 90 minutes in goal for us. Thank you to the players and management of Addlestone (Lyne) FC for giving us a good game and we wish you all the very best for the season ahead."
"This was our final pre-season game and myself and the management team are pleased with the steady progress in the 6 pre-season games played. We have a number of new players as well as some existing players from last season. Its been good to see the players gel together on the pitch and there is a good atmosphere and vibe amongst all of the squad. We now move forward in our preparations for the FA CUP home game against Loxwood FC on Saturday 5th August."
"I would like to thank you all for the support we have received so far. To all of the players in our youth section, and their parents and families in attendance as well, and from exisiting and new supporters - You have all helped bring the Spelthorne community together and this will help us push the club forward together. We cannot wait until the season begins this Saturday"
